No-Refund Policy

Last updated September 24, 2026

When an order becomes final. An order becomes an "Accepted Order" when (1) the licensed agency has approved the stated purpose and accepted the assignment; (2) the customer has been shown and accepted the applicable scope and disclosures; (3) payment has been successfully processed; and (4) the licensed agency has begun processing the assignment or incurred a third-party search cost. Once those conditions are satisfied, the Accepted Order is final and non-refundable except where required by law or as expressly stated below.

No refund based on results. A refund will not be issued merely because the report contains limited information, no criminal or other adverse finding is located, a category produces no qualifying record, an expected record cannot lawfully be obtained or verified, the customer disagrees with or is dissatisfied with lawful findings, the customer changes their mind, or the customer no longer needs the report.

When a refund or correction remains available. This policy does not prevent a refund or other correction where the order was declined before acceptance, the customer was charged twice, RIG or the licensed agency cancels the accepted service, the purchased scope cannot be delivered, or applicable law requires a remedy.

No guaranteed finding. Purchase of a report does not guarantee that any particular criminal, civil, property, business, marital, financial, address, association or other record exists or will be located.

Additional investigation. Work outside the accepted report scope is separate and requires a new written authorization and price.
